Mentor Interview

In my conversation with my mentor Trey, we talked about his time in PSL and as a student at OSU. He mentioned a lot about how PSL has given him great resources to help him on his Pre-Law track and how he has met so many amazing people through this program that share his similar passions. Here are a few of the topics we discussed during the interview:

Q: What year are you in?

A: I am a second year

Q:What is your major?

A: I am a double major in Political Science and French

Q: Why did you choose to attend Ohio State?

A: There is a great access to so many resources to help plan for the future, and a wide range of classes and majors.

Q: What extracurriculars are you involved in?

A: I am involved in Greek Life, the Boo Radley Society, the Food Recovery Network, Student Alumni Council (and some others that I didn’t get the chance to write down)

Q: What has been your favorite part of the program so far?

A: Getting to know all of the students within the program has been amazing. The messages from the speakers have been inspirational and helped with my future career plans. Kevin has also been extremely helpful in guiding me through this program and my schooling in general.

Q: What are some goals you will be pursuing beyond OSU?

A: I am planning on going to Law School once I graduate.

Q: In your opinion, how will PSL help you in your future?

A: PSL has given me many resources that have helped me towards my career, and I know I will always have people that I have met through the program to assist and support me in whatever I do.

Q: Out of the extracurriculars you mentioned, which ones do you most recommend?

A: The Student Alumni Council is a great way to get involved, and it’s taught me a lot, through organizing functions for alumni and through meeting these great people. Also, the Boo Radley Society is a really fun way to spread random acts of kindness across campus and make people smile. Although COVID has made this club trickier, I am looking forward to finding new ways to spread random kindness!

I was so glad to take a few minutes to talk! Thanks Trey!
