    • The goal of this project was to create and pilot test a feasible and effective adaptation of the CPP (CPP-I) for individual use with caregivers of young children (2-8 years) with social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities.
  • PI: Herbell, K. Co-I: Breitenstein, S.  –  Co-developing a tailored parent training for adolescents who have accessed residential treatment. (Finished 05/2022)
    • This study laid the groundwork for an intervention that helps adolescents maintain treatment gains in the community by augmenting and testing a web-based parent training with tailored support to prepare parents for the reintegration of their adolescents in the home.
  • PI: Herbell, K. Co-I: Breitenstein, S.  –  Determining the influence of parent mental health on two generation outcomes in families with children in residential treatment. (Finished 05/2021)
    • The purpose of this study was to test relationships among contextual factors (parent, child, residential treatment), parents’ mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, PTSD, perceived stress), and two-generation outcomes (positive parenting practices, children’s mental, emotional, and behavioral symptoms).

    • The overarching goal of this project was to develop implementation infrastructure to support wide scale dissemination and sustainability of CPP and evaluate these supports in four communities in Detroit, MI; Columbus, OH; Philadelphia, PA; and thousands of families every year.
  • PI: Greene, M. Co-I: Breitenstein, S.  –  ezPreemie Parent: A Feasibility Study of the ezParent Program for Parents of Former VLBW Infants. (Finished 2019)
    • The purpose of this feasibility study was to evaluate the adaptation and acceptability of the ezParent program, with the addition of weekly coaching calls—for parents of former very low birthweight infants in their second year of life.
