Sketchbook Prompts

My weekly posts

This was a sketchbook prompt drawing Norman Bates in Psycho, one of my favorite movies.

This is my friend’s girlfriend’s dog Butters.

This was a more creative sketch I did.

For this prompt I drew my friend’s bananas to focus on how it looked under the light.

This sketchbook prompt is a storyboard of my day. The boxes in order depict me going to one of my classes in bed, fist bumping my friend Hunter because we aced our marketing exam, walking to the RPAC, and then angrily walking back from the RPAC because I forgot to get my covid test for the week, the dinner I made that night, and then finally myself working on this storyboard.

This sketch was an attempt at a surrealist drawing where I didn’t really think about what to draw beforehand. Eventually it turned into a “tree of life” of some sorts.

This prompt was to draw a shot from a movie or TV show. I chose this shot from Wandavision that I really liked. The colors weren’t exact but I felt this was more visually appealing.

This prompt was an attempt to make an image by blackening the page with charcoal and then using an eraser to carve a picture. What I was trying to depict was on figure holding an important object, whether it be a scepter or something else, that clearly distinguishes him among a mass of people.
