Career

My life passion is to invest in the next generation of thinkers. As a first generation college student, I have personally experienced the transformative power of education and have grown immensely due to the patience, intentionality, and sacrificial love I have received from my teachers. I choose to radically believe that an educator is gifted with the unique opportunity to directly empower individuals so that they may enact change in our world.

I desire to challenge students to think outside of the box, to assess their gifts and dreams, and encourage them to be who they are, and not what others want them to be. It’s vital to remind students of their worth and value. Further, I want to instill the lessons I’ve learned from failure in my future students. The goal of education isn’t to teach students to simply strive for meaningless success, but rather to equip them to overcome their shortcomings and grow from their life journey. The legacy I want to leave isn’t an enormous bank account, or a plethora of plaques and awards, but a purposeful impact on a multitude of lifelong learners.
