Our rationale for choosing BPH:
We chose Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia because of several factors.
1: The prevalence of BPH occurring in the male population.
2. We were interested in the differentiation between prostate cancer and BPH.
3. It is likely that we have all had someone close to us or know of someone who has had their quality of life considerably diminished due to the symptoms of BPH for long durations.
4. We were intrigued by disease process as it is often misunderstood.
