I was fortunate enough to take part in the Central Ohio State Heart Walk as my first scholars event of the year. I really enjoyed the actual walk, and it was a great way to meet peers who I might have otherwise not interacted with. The Heart Walk was the first fundraising event (of this magnitude) that I have every participated in. Having never experienced something on this scale perviously, I was impressed by how many people came to support the movement. The walk gave me hope that people truly do care about the issues our society/world is facing and are actively working to fix them.
