Time Line

The execution of the Books for Buckeyes Program is delineated into a structured timeline encompassing six pivotal stages to ensure a systematic and effective implementation. The Initiation Stage marks the outset of the project, where we aim to secure the necessary support and funding, initiate the development of the online portal, and establish essential connections with university resources and staff. Following this, the Planning Stage focuses on finalizing the online portal development, devising a marketing strategy to promote the program, and setting up the logistics for book storage, distribution, and tutoring services.

As we transition into the Implementation Stage, the online portal will be launched, marketing campaigns initiated, and the collection and categorization of books will commence alongside the kick-off of tutoring services with the onset of the Fall semester. The Monitoring Stage is critical for continuous assessment of the program’s effectiveness, gathering invaluable feedback from students and tutors, and making requisite adjustments to enhance the program’s efficiency and impact.

Once the setup stage has been completed books for Buckeyes will then begin the pre-semester activities which involve emailing students two months before the beginning of the semester to spread awareness of the program along with looking for potential students who might be able to help the program. Three weeks before the semester begins books for Buckeyes will confirm the new student helpers along with securing a room for the tutoring sessions.

In the Expansion Stage, the scope of exploring the program’s extension to all students beyond freshmen will be undertaken, along with augmenting the digital library and streamlining processes based on accrued feedback. Potential partnerships with other educational entities for book sourcing and tutoring support may also be explored.

Lastly, the Evaluation and Sustenance Stage focuses on a comprehensive evaluation of the program’s impact, and formulation of a sustainability plan for continuity post the initial funding period. This structured approach underscores our meticulous planning and systematic methodology toward realizing the long-term goals of the Books for Buckeyes Program.
