Low Cost Books For Freshman

Books for Buckeyes has partnered with The Ohio State University to help our incoming freshmen on main campus with their required textbooks. We hope to bridge the gap between finances and education to make your time at OSU fair for all students from different financial backgrounds.

Our Vision

The mission of Books for Buckeyes is to supply low-cost books to incoming freshmen based on financial need.

We at Books for Buckeyes understand that as the cost of attendance continues to rise it puts students into stressful financial situations. We want to try and alleviate some of the stress that our Buckeyes are feeling by supplying books and tutoring sessions for students.

Taken from Ohio State Autumn 2023 Enrollment Report

42% of OSU students are in debt, so Books for Buckeyes is here to aid our freshmen by helping them save money on their textbooks. We know that OSU students go deeper into debt to cover their immense cost of books and supplies in order to have the resources to pursue an education. Textbook publishing companies made $16 billion dollars in 2022 off of students who are skipping meals and taking out loans to buy their books (Curcic, 2023). We don’t want our freshman stressed over the cost of books and sacraficing your mental and physical health. Textbooks are a vital tool for Ohio State students that Books for Buckeyes will help supply.
