Book Nook (Sudut Baca) Collaboration

This site is a resource for educational volunteers interested in helping schools create a literacy corner, or ‘book nook’ or ‘Sudut Baca’ at a lower grades school.

Book Nook began as a partnership between Ohio State University Undergraduate Education students (USA) and Bali Academy High School students (Indonesia) to support literacy at a K-6 school in Singarajah Regency, Bali.

On different tabs you can see how we set up the Book Nook, some sample books you can print for use, as well as links that demonstrate programming where older students or adults can Read Aloud to lower grades students.

We hope more volunteers support the development of school literacy programming and over time we can build this site to support those efforts.
