U.OSU has been live for four months now, making way for a true community of Ohio State web authors. You’ve shared your travels, research projects, professional successes and creative masterpieces. Our rise in numbers is just a reflection of your many imaginative uses for the platform. Here’s how U.OSU has grown so far:
Two U.OSU bloggers are up for 10th Edition EduBlog Awards.
Research Scientist Jay Zagorsky is a finalist in the Best New Blog Category.
Wayne Carlson, vice provost and dean of Undergraduate Education, was selected as a Best Administrator Blog Finalist.
Edublogs, the service behind U.OSU, hosts an annual awards celebration to promote and demonstrate the educational values of social media.
Fun fact: “The Edublog Awards started in 2004 in response to community concerns relating to how schools, districts and educational institutions were blocking access of learner and teacher blog sites for educational purposes.”
Some of the best teaching and learning content, on Edublogs and other social media, has undoubtedly been created right here at Ohio State. Help recognize our content creators by submitting a nomination by Sunday, December 1st.
U.OSU officially launches today as Ohio State’s professional website platform. With the university-wide roll out, we’re celebrating new enhancements provided for students, faculty and staff to develop their own authentic web presence with our service.

In our newest Oval theme you can turn the blog functionality off, or locate it separately from the front page, lending the spotlight to content that’s more static. Insert an image in the banner space to personalize your site in a big way.
