Q: What brought you to Japan?
A: Adventure and getting away from America, I wanted to try something new and visited a friend in Japan and here was something new.
Q: How has living in a different country changed your life?
A:It’s changed every aspect of my life. I’m a different person than I would’ve been if I remained in the states. There’s different morals and expectations in the history that is in this new environment and I’ve adapted to function and excel. I have altered the way I interact with the world. There are built in ideas and rules in the states and going away from that will let you feel what it really means to be American.
Q: What advice do you have for Black youth and creatives?
A: It’s important to do it properly, if you can do things through programs that have a track record and are reliable. Use the resources you have and be able to view your country objectively. Be yourself, and do what you do. Everybody has influences but do you what you feel is a great thing to bring into this world and needs to be created.
