Ramona Reyes moved to Ohio in the 1980’s to attend college. She never imagined she would grow roots in this place. In her narrative, we learn about her experience as one of the only Latinas on campus, her Texas pride, her family and the work that she is doing in the community. She attributes much of her identity and drive to her abuela’s legacy of hard work and care for others. This interview by Elena Foulis is part of the Oral Narratives of Latin@s in Ohio.
