The first Scholars event that I attended was the opening OSU Men’s soccer game. This game was very important to the team because before the game, they honored one of their teammates who had recently passed away that summer. This was a very humbling experience not only because it was honoring the life of such a young person, but because as soon as his name was mentioned, the atmosphere became solemn. It was very clear that this man was a great friend and teammate, and I am thankful that I was able to take part in this experience.
