My name is Bence Bende, I am an 18-year-old epee fencer from Szombathely, Hungary, currently attending to The Ohio State University as a freshman. I always have been dreaming of helping people, that is why I choose Medical Laboratory Science as my major. As for fencing, I have been doing it for 13 years, so I can easily say that this sport is one of my passions. In my free time, I like outdoor cooking, being with my friends and watching movies. Moreover, I am a fan of Harry Potter series and other fantasy novels written by J. K. Rowling.

Before my university studies, I attended Jurisich Miklos High School and had fencing training in my home town. What is more, I have considerable experience in this sport, I have also taken part in national and international competitions all around the world. I earned my best result in 2015, when I got third place at the Cadet World Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Most of all, I owe much to my parents to show me this amazing sport which gave me many opportunities to visit many countries and cultures. One of my favorite palaces is Tashkent where I would like to go back as soon as possible.

My goal is to continue my education and athletic career in the USA. My view on health and science starts with being educated on Chemistry and Biology at my high school. I always have been dreaming of helping people and that is why I decided to apply to OSU. This university has the best cancer research laboratories and medical centers on the planet. One of my biggest dreams came true when I got admitted to the Ohio State University. My major is Medical Laboratory Science and my plan after graduation is to stay here and work for the research laboratories.
