Orthographic Projections

Each team member was to draw up an orthographic projection of the preliminary AEV design. The group came to a consensus on what the design should look like prior to drawing. We discussed a horizontal design that was lightweight and required few pieces. This would allow for the group to improve the AEV without having to remove or change unnecessary pieces. Drawings were only require for the first prototype so further developments are not shown in paper. The first prototype which was built based on this design can be found in design evolution. Further testing on this design is in the data analysis tool. The ratings for this AEV are under screening and scoring. Below are the drawings by each member:

David S.

This design is compact, lightweight, and simple. The budget is minimal compared to the reference.

Dimensions(height, width, depth):  4.50 in x 11.25 in x 1.40 in

Brian G.

This design emphasizes minimum use of materials, resulting in low cost, a high power to weight ratio, and simplicity. Placing critical components far down on the design optimizes stability as well.

Dimensions(height, width, depth):  4.50 in x 6.60 in x 2.40 in

Britton M.

This design is has a wide base, but with minimal extrusions. This allows for enough space for everything and provides the AEV stability.

Dimensions(height, width, depth):  4.75 in x 7 in x 3 in
