About Me

Hello, and welcome to my ePortfolio! My name is Zarah Belacic. I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. I attended Green High School, in which I had the honor of being the Valedictorian of my class. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, as a distinguished scholar, with a Seal of Biliteracy, along with earning an honors diploma. Some of my other proudest achievements were receiving both the Foreign Language Department Award and the English Department Award at our senior ceremony. I took numerous honors, AP, and college level classes throughout my high school career, but excelled in those relating to science and math. Having these passions in mind, along with volunteering at the Akron Children’s Hospital, I decided that I would like to become a physician in the future.

I recently decided to further my education with the honors program at the Ohio State University. I am currently pursuing a major in Health Sciences on the Pre-Med track. Along with my major, I plan on earning a minor in Spanish. I hope to someday play a key role the world of healthcare, whether it be by discovering something new through research, inventing a new medical technique, or by simply helping those in need on a daily basis.

I am currently involved with the OSU Figure Skating Club as the Social Chair, Global Brigades, Wexner Medical Center volunteers, and Delta Omega Kappa sorority. I also participate in orthopedics research at the OSU Veterinary College.
