The idea that was decided as one of the final designs for the monorail was a wheel powered AEV instead of the initial propeller powered example. Since the idea of a wheel powered one was decided a new wheel had to be made because the wheel had to be be able to fit directly on the motor. The idea for the wheel was supposed to be exactly the same diameter as the original wheel but when the calculations were made for the new wheel there was an error in reading the caliper so the wrong value was used in creating the new wheel. Below you have the original wheel which is black and the new wheel which is the gold wheel. As shown the new wheel was way too large for and then needed to be reprinted with the right dimensions.
