This is a reminder to attend the fifth annual Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Replacement Female Sale. The sale will be held Friday, November 24 at the Muskingum Livestock facility located at 944 Malinda Street in Zanesville and will begin at 6:00 p.m. The sale represents an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to add quality young replacement females to their herd.
At the time of this writing, there are 83 lots selling in the sale. These lots consist of 66 bred heifers, 11 bred cows, and six cow-calf pairs. All females selling are less than five years of age at sale time. A detailed listing of the cattle selling with complete breeding information can be found at the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association web site: http://www.ohiocattle.org/. Look under the “Events and Programs” tab and click on “Replacement Female Sale”. You can also use the direct link to the Replacement Female sale page which is: https://www.ohiocattle.org/Events-and-Programs/replacement-female-sale.
At that page, there will be two items of interest regarding the sale. First, you can click on “Link to view the 2017 sale consignment videos” to watch short videos of the cattle being offered in this sale. Second, you can click on “Link to 2017 Replacement Female Sale Lots” to view a sheet that contains breeding information on the cattle selling.
Take advantage of this opportunity to add quality and quantity to your herd. If you have any questions about the sale you can call me at my cell phone at (937) 763-6000 or email grimes.1@osu.edu.
