Eastern Ohio Beef School Series Begins October 3

OSU Extension and the Eastern Agriculture Research Station has made plans for the 2017 Fall Beef School.  The dates for the school are Tuesday, October 3, 10, and 17, starting at 5:30 p.m. to 8 pm. The programs will be held at the OSU Eastern Agricultural Research Station in Belle Valley.  A meal will be provided with registration. The school has been designed to address practical issues facing beef producers.

The first night will cover winter nutrition & body condition scores, cattle handling facilities, and increasing gain with hybrid vigor.  The second night topics include; what you should know about the Veterinary Feed Directive, preparing for calving and video marketing of cattle.  The last day will focus on forage management, weed control, forage varieties/ uses, and plant growth promoters.

The cost of the program is $20, which covers registration for one or all three days. Registration deadline is September 25.  Please register by completing and returning the registration form linked here.
