Participants will hear from experts about the balance between livestock production, carnivore conservation and animal welfare at the upcoming Integrated Carnivore-Livestock Workshop. The workshop is sponsored by the Initiative for Food and AgriCultural Transformation (InFACT) during Discovery Theme Friday (2/24) 9-4:30 p.m. in the 11th Floor Campus Reading Room, Thompson Library on the campus of Ohio State University. Topics for discussion include public concern for wildlife, rearing livestock in Ohio, the economics of livestock predation, carnivore ecology and behavior and controlling carnivores around livestock.
