Replacement Female Sale, Final Reminder

John F. Grimes, OSU Extension Beef Coordinator

This is your final reminder to attend the fourth annual Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Replacement Female Sale.  The sale will be held this Friday, November 25 at the Muskingum Livestock sale facility located at 944 Malinda Street in Zanesville and will begin at 6:00 p.m. This sale represents an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to add quality young replacement females to their herd.

At the time of this writing, there are 107 lots selling in the sale.  These lots consist of 91 bred heifers and 16 bred cows.  Three of these females will be selling with calves at side.  All females selling are less than five years of age at sale time.  A detailed listing of the cattle selling with complete breeding information can be found at the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association web site: http://www.ohiocattle.org/  .  Look under the “Events and Programs” tab and click on “Replacement Female Sale”.  At that page, there will be two items of interest regarding the sale.  First, you can click on “Link to view the 2016 sale consignment videos” to watch short videos of the cattle being offered in this sale.  Second, you can click on “Link to Replacement Female Sale Lots” to view a spreadsheet that contains breeding information on the cattle selling.

Take advantage of this opportunity to add quality and quantity to your herd.  If you have any questions about the sale you can call me at my cell phone at (937) 763-6000 or email grimes.1@osu.edu .
