About Me

Hello, my name is Navkiran Bedi and I am a rising second year at The Ohio State University. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and am currently working towards a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish. In my coming years at Ohio State, I hope to get involved in many different activities such as research, volunteering, study abroad, and other leadership clubs. On this page I will compile and note everything I do/ get involved in during my undergraduate career.

Year in Review

During my first year at Ohio State, I learned a lot about myself as a student and as a person. I have learned that a planner and good sleep are my best friends, knowing when you need a break/when you need to really study hard is crucial, and maintaining good mental and physical health is the only way to be as productive and happy as possible. I entered my first year of college undermining the learning curves that would be thrown my way (time management, balancing a social life and academics, learning to live on my own, and making new friends). I came in wanting to pursue a bachelors degree in engineering, but after exploring my interests, meeting with many advisors,  and seeing which classes I excel in and enjoy, I have since decided to pursue a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Spanish.

Being a member of the Health Sciences Scholars program really enhanced my first year as an undergraduate student. It has given me a close-knit group of friends that I spent most of my time with, a resource for finding different clubs and activities around campus, and a community of students that work together in health related fields. This past year, I tried to involve myself in several clubs and gather information about other projects I would like to explore during my next few years as an undergraduate student and I look forward to using this years trials and errors to build off of next year and learn and enjoy even more. It took some time to get used to, but I have enjoyed the freedoms and challenges that have accompanied the transition from high school to college.

G.O.A.L.S.
