Hey Everyone,
My name is Ayman Bazar, and this week in Module 2 of ESEPSY 1159 we are creating a blogs to share information that we learn through out this class with other students like myself. In Module 2 we discussed online learning strategies and skills. Module 2 contains many important tips from internet etiquette to blogging to improve online communication with other students. One of the more useful types I found through this module was how to properly use an academic email. Properly using an academic email can determine someones impression of you before they even meet you. Currently I am in my third year at Ohio State University and as a Chemical Engineering Major, I can tell you from my experience I have had to use proper etiquette in my emails to pursue internships and mentorships in my field. In Module 2 a tip regarding emails they give is proofread and writing complete sentences. Completing these tips ensures your email is read the way you wrote it. A tip I have to offer is using signatures on your email stating name, year in college at certain university, and major. It allows for your email to come off as more professional and describes who you are and what you are doing.
Thank you for reading my blog! I hope you visit again for more helpful information and enjoy your week!
