G.O.A.L.S.

“G.O.A.L.S.”

A- I choose to interview my freshman peer mentor Annika who will be a rising senior. She is an anthropology major who aspires to go to medical school and possibly a masters in medical anthropology. She has not chosen any subspecialty to focus on in anthropology but she has a special interest in cultural anthropology.  Annika has such a refreshing view of medicine because of her anthropology background. She looks to not only help people physically but also connect with them emotionally. She looks to empathize and spread positivity through her work. She has been volunteering at Wexner Medical Center for the last few years and other organizations on campus. She says that she being a volunteer on campus has helped her forge relationships that she says enriched her time at the university.

E- For my volunteer service I choose to spend my time with the second and 7 foundation. The group takes OSU students to Columbus schools and has us read stories to kids and basically help spread positivity and love. This organization really helps Young kids stay happy, every time I walk into the classroom I can feel the excitement that the children have.
