My Three Biggest Takeaways From This Class are…
1. My first takeaway from this class is to stay motivated because when you are motivated you are more likely to get your work done and be persistent.
2. My second takeaway from this class would be to utilize different resources to help aid and guide your learning. We’ve learned about plenty of technology tools and applications that are useful to students.
3. My third takeaway from this class would be to manage your time, every second counts.
This class has contained many useful tips to become successful, especially in a online class. In the beginning of this course I learned something very important to that contributed to my learning. In week two we talked about motivation and goal setting. Motivation can help you get a lot of work done and help you to be persistent. If you have a goal that’s important to you the more likely to stick with it and see it through. You are motivated to see the outcome of your goal. Being motivated really affects what we do.
Halfway through the class we also talked about Building up your Knowledge and Finding the Credible Resources. In the lecture building your knowledge we went over a lot of digital note taking strategies and technology. Personally I use notability and it is a good application for taking notes. Sometimes taking hard copy notes can be better for your learning but everyone is different. It was great I learned how to look for credible resources again. I was taught this in high school but I have forgotten most of the information. It was nice to get a new and better understanding of how to correctly find credible resources now that it is more important in college.
Lastly, one of the things we learned was about virtual presentations. This was very fun to learn about because this is something new to me. We read a book called 10 Steps to Virtual Presentations by Wayne Turmel. He went over each step thoroughly. He talked about the four types of presentations and many other insights that I didn’t know about. This information could be very useful for the future.
I do recommend this class to other students. I think you can gain a lot of information from this class!
