After the banana’s are at the perfect ripeness, they are shipped to the retail distribution center. At the center, they check the orders from the retailers and ship the correct amount of banana’s to said store. At this point, the banana’s have a much shorter trip and no longer need to be transported in refrigerated containers. They are usually shipped by truck on the road to the different stores and retailers (Fyffes). From here, the banana’s are nearly done with their process and travels. All that is left is to be bought and taken home by a prospective buyer. From there, all that’s left is to be eaten!
