Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness:  Through my time at The Ohio State University, I hope to take a couple classes in the global diversity area in order to widen my mind to the rest of the world. I also hope to be able to study abroad at least for a little while during my time here and experience new cultures in depth,

Original Inquiry: For original inquiry, I will get involved in local research on campus in order to further expand my area of study. With majoring in chemistry, participating in research will allow me to figure out which direction I plan to take my studies for the future and where I would like to end up.

Academic Enrichment: Using my Academic Plan, I hope to get the best college experience for what I hope to spend the rest of my life doing. I want to focus on my area of study, which is chemistry because I’ve always enjoyed the subject and field it is a part of, as well as experiencing other interests that I may have.

Leadership Development: Outside of the classroom, the activities and clubs that I participate in help me to become more of a leader and have my opinions and thoughts heard. Even in the classroom, with group projects and working together, can allow me to become a leader in a peer environment.

Service Engagement: In the future, I hope to participate in campus community service opportunities and help those on campus and in the nearby area. Being able to help others is a part of college that I would really like to be able to do and taking part in service opportunities will allow me to do just that.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio.
