About Me

Hello! I’m Aditi Balakrishnan and I’m first-year Health Science Scholar majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I was born in Pittsburgh, PA and although I’ve moved around a lot, I’ve lived in the Columbus area for most of my life. I attended both Olentangy High School and Olentangy Berlin High School (2 years each) where I was involved in several extracurriculars.

I was the Vice President of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) at Berlin and an active member of Science Olympiad, Student Council, Class Cabinet, Student Advocates, NHS, and Berlin’s Varsity Field Hockey. I’m also a Student Volunteer at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Aside from clubs and sports, I have always had a defining passion for music; I play the violin, cello, piano, guitar, and ukulele. I was consistently and heavily involved in multiple orchestras throughout all four years of high school and additionally performed as a part of Berlin’s Cinderella pit orchestra and the Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio (YPCO).

Academically, I look forward to becoming more independent and self-sufficient as I navigate through my classes and college life. I also hope to be able to network to form both personal and professional relationships. One of my serious goals this year is to seek out meaningful and engaging club and internship opportunities, as I know these experiences will help solidify my interests within the applicable and rapidly-evolving biomedical field.
