Performance Testing

Performance Test 1

The first performance test consisted of having the AEV leave the starting gate and accelerating up an incline in order to reach a gate located halfway between the starting gate and loading dock on the track. The AEV would then have to successfully stop between two gate sensors before the stop sign and wait for 7 seconds for the gate to open. The vehicle would then proceed out of the gate area towards the loading dock.

Performance Test 2

The second performance test is a continuation of the first performance test, however once the AEV leaves the gate, it will then travel to the other end of the track in order to pick up the load located in the loading dock. The AEV must successfully attach itself to the load without carrying the vehicle and the load past the starting point of the loading dock. After pausing for 5 seconds in the dock, the AEV will then accelerate out and leave the loading dock to successfully complete performance test 2.

Final Performance Test

In continuation of the second performance test, the final performance test of the AEV includes bringing the load back from the loading dock to the starting dock. Once the AEV has left the loading dock with the load, it must accelerate up an incline to reach the gate on the way back, stop between the gate sensors and once more pause for 7 seconds to allow the gate to open. Once the gate has opened, the AEV will then travel down a decline and come to a stop in the starting dock along with the gate between the given parameters.
