Artifacts Project

1.) A Spoonful of Sugar

I’ve listened to this song a lot this year to motivate me. It makes mundane tasks a little less boring.

2.) Put One Foot in Front of the Other

No matter how bad life gets you down, this song always sort of reminded me to keep going. Even if it seems impossible you can keep going. You’ll never get where you need to go in life if you don’t take risks! I had a pretty rough first semester so I needed something to remind me to keep going.

I watched Disney movies the entire year if I got bored or down. I ended up watching a lot of movies, mostly because I was bored a lot.

4.) IMG_0889

My dogs are 50% of the reason I get so excited to go home. I love going home. Going home for a long break or the weekend is my absolute favorite thing in the entire world. My dogs get so excited to see me. I’ve gone home more than I’ve done anything else this year.

The football games were fun…they were just about the only thing that got me to leave my room on the weekends during the first semester. My cousin and I always went to them together.

My family has kept me sane throughout this year. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t know where I’d be. They were there for me whenever I needed them. And since I have such a big family, if one of them couldn’t pick up someone else was always available. I’m so blessed to have such an amazing family.

About Me

Hi guys! My name is MacKenzie Babics and I’m a freshmen here at The Ohio State University! I’m a Neuroscience major on a pre-medical track, and my career goal is to be a forensic psychiatrist. I’m very close to my family, and I am a lover of anything Disney!

Photo Partner Project

IMG_2725

Kayla is very laid back and shy. This photo captures her personality, because when she is done studying and doing her homework she likes to relax. Kayla is shy, but she enjoys hanging out with her friends. She likes to be with her friends, and she is very silly and energetic around them. Kayla enjoys Disney, and she is a happy person. She is smiling in the photo because she likes to be happy and she enjoys being relaxed. Taking the pictures was very easy and very relaxed, and it went very fast. Kayla and I met in the Baker West lobby to do the Photo Partner Project, and we went out back and sat on the red chairs to take the pictures. The experience was different, just because we’ve never really done anything like this before. We talked to each other for a little bit and got to know each other so we could better understand the poses for the picture. We had fun getting to know each other for a little bit, but we didn’t have much time to get to know each other better because we both had a lot of homework to get done, too. It was nice to get to know someone that I haven’t met before, and it was worth getting to know Kayla because we will see each other in scholars again. The experience was very worth it, and the project was a good way to get to know people in our scholars group.
