Artifacts

Attached to this post is my ICE  Scholars Business Model Canvas. Our team of 6 worked with the Business Model Canvas to  create a memory and  battery enhancing phone case known as “The Backpack”.  Our team was formulated in a draft type setting as each of us was able to express why we thought we deserved to be on  team Backpack. I believe our groups process was very similar to that of an actual startup as we experienced both the good and the bad of the creation process as a team. Our group started by wanting to offer our product to all phone users but quickly transformed to focusing on iPhone users due to market validation found in survey’s.  We also as a group started team Backpack only wanting to add memory storage but quickly added the battery enhancement feature once again due to market validation. Through time and hard work our group was able to create an actual digital prototype as well as create a clickable site to accompany our product.  I believe the strongest part of our Business Model Canvas is the financial section as we wanted to ensure that all fixed and variable cost were accounted for to ensure that our startup actually got off the ground. Although in a sense this was a hypothetical project I do believe I learned a lot about the start up process as a whole and loved every minute of being able to collaborate with numerous likeminded and creative people. I hope one day I’ll be filling out a real business model canvas with a team just like ours!
