About

The B4 Lidar Project was an NSF-funded project led by Michael Bevis (OSU Geodesy and Geodynamics Group) and Ken Hudnut (USGS Pasadena office) in 2005. The National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping (NCALM) performed the airborne data acquisition and laser data processing. UNAVCO supported the GPS ground control surveys, and the Southern California Integrated GPS Network (SCIGN) provided high-rate GPS data from their network of continuous GPS stations. The object of the project was to perform a high-resolution topographic survey of the San Andreas and San Jacinto fault zones of southern California using Airborne Laser Swath Mapping (ALSM).
