I have two remaining years of my undergraduate career here at Ohio State. I plan on finishing my requirements for my Chemistry B.S. and my two minors, Environmental and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Since I have most of the Chemistry requirements done except for Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and some electives, I will be taking most of my minor classes in the next two years. I am excited to learn more about the fields that I am truly interested in. Another goal of mine for the next couple years is to figure out what I am doing after graduation. I need to choose between pursuing a doctorate, masters, or career. I also need to learn more about the GRE test.

G.O.A.L.S.
Global Awareness: Coming to Ohio State from a small suburban high school has truly opened my eyes to many different ideas and cultures. This campus is so large and diverse; I meet someone new almost every day. I love hearing about everyone’ s unique and individual ideas and experiences!
Original Inquiry: One of the main reasons I chose Ohio State is the fact that it is a research university. There is an astoundingly wide variety of research opportunities here, from working in a lab to tracking patterns of people walking in The Oval. Personally, I would like to get a research position in some sort of chemical lab because I love chemistry and I have a background working in a cosmetics lab.
Academic Enrichment: Difficult classes go hand and hand with science majors, but that didn’t scare me away. In fact, I love to be challenged by the classes I am taking! The difficult courses offered here at Ohio State have helped me develop a strong work ethic and time management skills.
Leadership Development: Because Ohio State has such a vast abundance of clubs and activities, I think it would be nearly impossible to not find a leadership opportunity during my undergrad experience! I thoroughly plan on joining a few clubs that are meaningful to me, and I will hopefully gain leadership roles in them in future years!
Service Engagement: Community service was a huge part of my life in high school, specifically geared towards environmental causes. I don’t intend to change that now that I’m at college. I would like to see myself branch out and start volunteering with children or helping people in a more direct way. Columbus has been such an amazing environment for me to live in so far, so I think it is only fair for me to give back and help make Columbus a great place for everyone.
