We are interested in identifying the factors that hinder or promote the restaurant dining out experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Our goal is to help further the field of autism by providing families with information on ways to best enhance their dining out experiences in the community. Information from this study also has the potential to develop a staff training tool to help restaurants better meet the needs of families of children with ASD. Currently, we are focusing on the dining experiences of parents of children with ASD, and we are planning another study focusing on adults with ASD.
We need: Parents of children (up to 21 years old) with diagnosed autism spectrum disorders.
Parents will complete:
- Qualification survey to determine eligibility
- Consent form
- Online questionnaire about restaurant dining out experiences with their sons/daughters with autism spectrum disorders and demographic information.
- Total time: 20-25 minutes.
*Thank you for your interest in the study. We have reached our recruitment numbers.
