My name is Kurt Atwell, and I am a 3rd year student studying chemical engineering. While I have a strong liking for the math and sciences, I also enjoy adventures, sunlight, and photography. As being part of the STEP program my 2016-2017 school year, I was given $2000 to apply toward a creative arts/endeavor that I deemed interesting.
Being that I’ve always had a liking for photography, I wanted to take my shots to the next level. And so, I purchased a Nikon D3400 camera with some of the funds, and am currently using the rest of the money to travel to three national parks: Yosemite, Canyonlands, and Glacier.
As of now, I traveled to Yosemite National Park May 7-11, 2017 and Canyonlands National Park September 15-18. I plan on visiting Glacier National Park for ~10 days next summer, 2018.
