Welcome!

Caring for people in their homes, who need assistance with activities of daily living, is a vital and essential service provided by paid and unpaid care providers in the US and around the world.

This website provides information for and about care providers and care recipients.  It includes information from our research team here at Ohio State University, as well as information from other researchers and trustworthy sources.

Our goals for our research and this website are to:

  • bring higher visibility to the essential work of in home care
  • reduce the risk of injury to care providers that can occur when providing or assisting with more physically strenuous care activities
  • improve communications between care providers and care recipients
  • connect care providers and care recipients with the latest research, including research they can get involved with
