Hello Everyone!
My name is Amanda Folck. I recently graduated from Clark State Community College in May 2015 with a Associate of Science Degree in Transfer Science and currently a Senior at The Ohio State University in Turfgrass Science. My background of work includes working at Folck Family Farm in
Mechanicsburg, Ohio with my family for about 10 years from taking care of the strawberries and the grounds of the farm to showing our award-winning show pigs. I have been helping Pam Sherratt this summer and the rest of the 2015-2016 school year at Ohio State with the postings here on u.osu.edu. Other responsibilities that
I have include assisting the Baseball Field Management and Athletic Field Management online courses for Ohio State to helping at the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Research Center. I am also helping with the Study Abroad of England: Gardens and Sports Turf, where I will be in England from May-August 2016 by interning for Arsenal Football Club at their practice field in London Colney, Hertfordshire, England. During that time, I will be blogging about my experience working at Arsenal on a separate u.osu website specifically about my experience. I will graduate from Ohio State in May 2017 with Bachelors Degree in Turfgrass Science to be a Manager involved in working the grounds in athletic fields. Go Bucks!
