ata-esfahani-1I am currently a graduate research associate at Non Equilibrium Thermodynamics Laboratory in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Ohio State University. I received my BSc in aerospace engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) with highest honours in 2014. As an undergraduate student, I worked on characterizing plasma streamwise vortex generators that were employed for separation control in low-Reynolds-number flows. I earned my master’s degree in mechanical engineering while working with Prof. Samimy at Gas Dynamics and Turbulence Laboratory to characterize flow excitation by nanosecond pulse DBD actuators over rotorcraft blades (read more). My research interests include low and high-speed flow control, energy coupling to various flows and optical flow diagnostics.
