Star Parties will be held about once a month on the roof of Smith Lab. You will enter the doors to the planetarium and work your way to the roof via the stairs. At the top there is an observing deck with telescopes set up and the Smith Lab Observatory dome will be open as well. Camera opportunities of campus and the Columbus skyline will be available. We are hoping to get these “official” Star Parties up and running again!
Star Parties can also be hosted by YOU! With the right equipment and planning, you can get a group of Astro Society members to go gaze whenever. Joining the group chats can be a great way to connect and get people together, and the Events Commitee is a great place to help plan these kinds of on-campus events.
