For the Graphic Design post, I decided to create a magazine cover with one of the photos I had used for my portrait post. I chose to turn the portrait of Kane into a magazine cover for Hurley magazine. I started off with just adding a simple Hurley label and erasing the space that overlapped his head to set the title behind him. I, then, added a couple of subtitles to the left and right sides of the photo, adding to the typical magazine style. And finally, finished the piece off with a fake barcode in the bottom righthand corner. I chose to use this portrait for a magazine cover because I felt that it portrayed the perfect subject matter and composition to do so. Adding the text into the photograph make it more interesting by making the viewer want to continue looking through the magazine.
