My first week has been quite a thrill ride! I enjoyed the many Welcome Week activities including Wipeout!, Buck-i-frenzy, and Convocation. I also worked with a group of other FEH students to design a marble-pushing, point-scoring machine for our first lab. Perhaps the best part of this week was receiving a gift from the dorm down the hall, a poster of Albert Einstein! Sarah, Morgan, Shannon, and I all love greeting Albert as we come and go.photophotophoto-1

Launch of the Honors & Scholars program at The Ohio State University. What a wonderful and energetic way to start off the year! This program increased my excitement for the upcoming academic year ten-fold and showed me where I can be in one, two, or twenty years.

About Me

My name is Meredith Ash and I’m studying Mechanical Engineering. I decided to pursue a career in engineering because I love learning how things work, how to build and fix things, and putting creative ideas into practice. I am hoping to end up working in industry, but no matter where I end up within the field of engineering, I want to love what I am doing and constantly be learning.

I am from Whitehouse, Ohio, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Anthony Wayne High School. In my free time, I enjoy reading, rock climbing, going to campus events, and getting involved with my church. The best thing about attending Ohio State is the opportunities it provides, and I plan on taking full advantage of all the university has to offer.
