My name is Priya Dhawale and I’m a fourth year biology major on the pre-medicine track. I’m also minoring in Global Public Health and History. It’s my third year being an honors peer mentor, and I love being able to interact with all the honors freshman and honors advisors. The program is a great way to be more involved in the honors program and get connected with other honors students. I also help run the peer mentors event calendar, which is a great internship opportunity I’ve had thanks to the peer mentor program! Another thing I do is research at the James Cancer Center, where I participate in sarcoma cancer research and am even in the process of getting a paper published! One of my favorite things I’m involved in here is intramural sports. I’ve made so many friends from playing soccer and volleyball intramurals. I also work as a medical assistant in a pediatric office, which is super fun. Something I love about OSU is the amount of different opportunities students have, so take advantage of them.
