Hi everyone! My name is Amanda and I am a fourth year Molecular Genetics major and dance minor. When applying to college, I was looking for two things, a large school with lots of activities and great undergraduate research opportunities. I am applying to graduate school this fall with the hopes of pursuing a Ph.D. in cell or cancer biology. Outside of classes, I am the President of Molecular Genetics Club and the Director of External Affairs for Momentum Contemporary Ballet. I also work in Dr. Craig Burd’s lab and study how estrogen impacts melanoma. I am a Pelotonia Undergraduate Scholar this year and recently biked 24 miles in the annual Pelotonia Ride Weekend.
