Senior, Third Year Mentor
Hi everyone, my name is Greyson and I am a double major in Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I grew up in Kettering, right outside of Dayton, Ohio. My goal was always to leave the state but somehow I found my way to OSU after high school, and I have loved every minute since. Part of this I attribute to being conditioned to like Ohio State ever since I was a baby!
On top of being an Honors Peer Mentor, I also work closely with the Department of Psychology. In the past I have served as a Psychology Student Ambassador, and I currently am working to build the Psychology Belonging Initiative (PBI). Between all of these positions I get to work a lot with prospective and current students, helping them acclimate to campus life. Through these programs and others, I have realized my love of mentoring which I hope to continue in my professional life. I plan to attend grad school and get my masters in clinical mental health. My goal is to work with children and use my WGSS background to better understand how systems of oppression impact mental health.
Life at OSU has been a wonderful experience for me, as I hope it is for you. I love spending time on the Oval or at Mirror Lake playing games or talking to friends. Walking around and seeing everyone living life to the fullest is an activity within itself. If there is anyway I can help you better your Ohio State experience, please reach out! Until then, don’t forget to drink some good coffee, admire a plant, and thank a friend :)
