I chose OSU because I wanted a large school with many opportunities in both extracurriculars and classes. I also thought it would be fun having such a large student body, giving me the chance to meet many new people. I chose the honors program because oftentimes the honors classes are smaller, allowing me to interact with my professors more often. I also couldn’t resist the challenge!
Currently, I am the president of Armwrestlers at The Ohio State University and a member of the Half-Asian People’s Association (HAPA), Pre-Med Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), Jazz Club, and American Chemical Society (ACS) Buckeye Chapter. After completing my undergraduate degree, I hope to go to medical school.
I grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio, where I was a gymnast and played trumpet, clarinet, and guitar. Nowadays, I still practice gymnastics with the OSU Club Gymnastics team and play music with the OSU Jazz Club and my musical friends.
One piece of advice I would give incoming students is try not to spend too much time in your room. I generally gravitate to my room but tend to lose a lot of momentum while I’m in there. Feel free to reach out to me if you need any help!
