During my time at Ohio state, the honors program provided me with numerous enriching academic opportunities. I appreciated the small classes, and I loved the opportunities to connect with professors! I began my education at OSU as an economics major, but after my first year, I realized it was not what I was interested in. Beginning in my second year, I switched my major to philosophy, and I loved the philosophy major. I enjoyed the way of thinking that comes with philosophy, and I found the process of engaging with philosophical arguments to be both interesting and engaging. Changing my major was definitely the right decision, and I was still able to graduate in only three years! Outside of class, I was involved with Buckeyes on Tap, a tap dancing club, and Peers REACHing out, a cohort dedicated to suicide prevention. These organizations helped give me meaning during undergrad, and I’m extremely grateful for those experiences. Additionally, I really enjoyed my time as a peer mentor. After experiencing the transition to college, I knew I wanted to help younger students going through it. I was an honors peer mentor during my 2nd and 3rd years, and I still value the connections I was able to make with first year students. In the summer before my 3rd year, I worked as an intern at a law firm, and I think the experience helped me realize law school was the right path for me. Starting fall of 2024, I will be attending Vanderbilt Law School, and I would be extremely open to speaking with any Ohio State student interested in applying to law school!
