My Autumn 2020 Goals

By the end of my first semester of college, I would like to find others interested in extracurriculars. This will let me expand my circle of friends and learn from their experiences. Joining clubs and other groups will accomplish this.

After my first year of college, my goal is to be proficient in my understanding of at least one coding language. Being interested in majoring in Computer Science and Engineering, a deep understanding of a commonly used language would help me with future classes and job prospects. Taking an Introduction to Java and Software I will give a good background in the language of Java.

By the end of my undergraduate study, I would like to have done research or interned at least two times with groups that seem interesting at first glance. This will help better decide where in the industry I would want to go into. It will also help with real-world experience in other areas of my life. I can do this by communicating with others in fields I am interested in or my professors.

About Me

Hi! I’m Alexandria Armbruster, but I go by Alex. I come from North Royalton, Ohio which is about 30 minutes south of Cleveland. I intended to major in Computer Science and Engineering and find a career in Computer Forensics. I hope study abroad in France and see many of the sights.

In high school, I did marching band, concert band, set building for the theater department, Key Club, Science Olympiad, and Girl Scouts. I also became an International Thespian, a member of Société Honoraire de Français, a Captain and Founder for my school’s Science Olympiad, recieved my Girl Scout Silver Award, and was apart of the marching band during 2 performances in Disney, one of which was on New Year’s Eve! I also worked as a page for the local branch of the public library during my senior year. In my free time I like to read, draw, watch fantasy and mystery shows on Netflix, and hanging out with friends and family.
