Contact Us!

We are always happy to hear about families interested in future studies as well as students interested in our research. We have several options for participation in the AquOTic program.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at aquotic@osumc.edu.

Autism Clinical Trial

We are starting recruitment for our new clinical trial. Intervention in this trial will take place over a two year period starting in January 2026 for children ages 5-9 (at time of intervention) with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder without motor impairments. Each child will participate in a 10 week swim program with additional pre-testing and post-testing. This trial is looking for children who have not previously participated in the AquOTic program. If you are interested in having your child participate in this clinical trial, please fill out this form.

HRS Connects

We also offer a program through HRS Connects open to children age 4-11 with any diagnosis. This program is private pay. Due to high demand of this program, registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in having your child participate in this program, please fill out this form. We will send out information via email when registration will open. Also due to high demand, if you have previously participated in the AquOTic program, you must take one session (one 10 week period) off before you can return.

Cerebral Palsy Study

We are also running a study for children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. The goal of this program is to improve the child’s swim skills as well as functional skills. For participation in this study, the child must be able to independently ambulate or use an ambulation device independently. We are looking for children who score Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) level 3 or lower. If you are interested in having your child participate in this study, please fill out this form.
