Mackie O’Hara

Mackie is a third year PhD student studying dental anthropology. Her dissertation seeks to understand the underlying dental development of enamel thickness. Mackie completed her Master’s degree at OSU with an emphasis on seasonal patterns of dental defects in primates. She is working with the Dinaledi dental team to study the recently published Homo naledi teeth. She also works with nonhuman primates and fossil hominins from South Africa and China.
