Alex Tuggle

Alex is a first year PhD student from the southwest. In her undergraduate career at the University of Arizona she studied bioarchaeology but is now transitioning to human biology. She is primarily interested in health, stress, and disease, whether in the dead or the living. Alex is currently investigating frailty at a medieval Polish site, periodontal disease at ancestral Puebloan sites in Arizona, and allostatic load in contemporary Mexican migrants to Columbus. Aside from academics, Alex is a violinist and enjoys horseback riding, playing music, and traveling.
